Kick-off time for Framatome at the 2018 World Nuclear Exhibition (WNE)

The company will present its solutions for the nuclear industry at the Paris-Nord Villepinte convention center from June 26 to 28.

The key themes of this edition – performance, operational excellence and digitization – will guide visitors through an innovation-packed stand featuring virtual reality, fuel applications, innovations in instrumentation and control and components, as well as digitization initiatives. The event includes numerous panel discussions, business meetings and workshops bringing together international experts from the nuclear industry.

A highlight of the WNE, the Framatome panel discussion will be chaired by Bernard Fontana, President and CEO of the company, and promises fruitful debate on performance and operational excellence to enhance nuclear competitiveness, with the participation of key electric utilities from France (EDF), the USA (Exelon) and China (CNNC).

Expertise and safe, competitive technology

Framatome will illustrate the expertise it devotes to the global nuclear fleet by offering visitors the chance to discover its Saint-Marcel plant as seen by a drone, and innovative manufacturing technologies with the very latest application of a cobot-scanner solution. Visitors will also be able to see the virtual and mixed reality digital technologies used by the company for maintenance of nuclear power plants and operator training. Nuclear fuel will also be on the agenda with presentation of the latest generation assemblies such as "GAIA". Instrumentation and control systems, the veritable nerve centers of a power plant, will be demonstrated on the Framatome stand together with Corys simulation applications for controlling power plants and training operators.
