Project Engineer – Sizewell B

Detailed key responsibilities:

The Project Engineer of Framatome Ltd is responsible for setting the direction and coordination of the design and engineering aspects of the project deliverables. The role includes, but is not limited to, the following aspects:

• Support the relationship with the client and all stakeholders including third parties/vendors;
• Ensure Framatome Ltd are supported technically and controlled according to the best practices, meet customer requirements and minimise risks for the business;
• Co-ordinate the design requirements of the project with the design team e.g. drawings, tools/ equipment, materials, specific design requirements for project lifecycle
• Development, support, and maintenance of the project deliverables in line with project schedules
• Confirm client specifications between the project team and engineering disciplines
• Liaise with Project Controls on the design schedule, risks and report as required
• Develop the support and monitor the manufacturing;
• Liaise with the Quality Manager on effectively investigating NCRs and assisting with the effective close out

• Liaise with the HSE Manager to identify design aspects that facilitate safe construct and end user operation of the product 

Role Requirements

Qualifications:

• Degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering with relative experience (Essential)
• Experience in the nuclear sector or any other heavy industries will be advantageous (desirable)
• Experience in manufacturing and/or site construction/maintenance will be advantageous

Technical Skills:

Understanding of Project control and Planning

Good Understanding of health and safety legislation in particular Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (UK regulation) would be a benefit

Understanding of Finance and cost control would be of benefit

Good working knowledge of Microsoft software

Experience in fabrication of Stainless-steel equipment will be of benefit

Experience of industrial Insulation equipment will be of benefit

Experience of outage installations will be of benefit

Experience of BS5975 (temporary works) will be of benefit

Experience of highly regulated industries

Experience in Nuclear would be of benefit

Understanding of welding and fabrication processes

Experience in 2D and 3D mechanical design

Experience in 3D models and constructability reviews

Sufficient engineering capability to create effective engineered solutions

Ability to analyse, interpret and create specifications and technical procedures

Experience with site surveys, workshop fabrication and erection would be of benefit

Experience with Autocad, Autocad Plant 3D and Solidworks

Basic understanding of engineering calculations
