The Engineering Manager (N M & C) has the following key responsibilities:

  • Manages the team, providing guidance and coaching to team members
  • Manages the team, providing guidance and coaching to team members.

  • Is the leader of the Engineering Team, ensuring projects are delivered to time, budget, and specification.

  • Develops the team through recruitment and training to ensure the business has the appropriate capability to manage customer requirements.

  • Liaises with other business teams to assign resources to meet project and business needs.

     

  • Utilises PC based programmes to analyse structures and fluid systems and suggest solutions.

     

  •  Writes and presents reports to customers. 

  •  Reviews and approves reports created by the Engineering Team.

  • Maintains knowledge of International and relevant Nuclear Industry standards.

  •   Has the capability to develop, analyse and review numerical models.

     

  • Carries out technical work and design calculations to a high standard.

     

  •  Assists with continuous improvement of the technical capacity of the business.

     

  •  Coordinates with project teams to deliver positive client outcomes.

     

  •  Manages key projects from start to finish.

     

  • Ensures technical work, design calculations and reports produced by the Engineering Team are of a high standard.

     

  • Liaises with other Framatome operations and external companies to develop best practice.

     

    Other responsibilities are:

  •  Is a Member of the site Operations Management team.

     

  •  Supports the Sales Team with bids and demonstrating projects to customers.

     

  • Is actively involved in Continuous Improvement.

Role requirements:

  • FEA tools, e.g. ANSYS
     

Desirable :

  • Structural assessment to relevant design codes, eg. ASME III, ASME VIII, RCC-M, Eurocode 3, BS 5950.
     
  • Piping structural analysis, e.g. PipeStress
     
  • Piping support and embedment / anchorage assessment, eg. RSTAB, VerifPlatine, Hilti  
     
  • CFD tools, e.g. Star-CCM+
