Your missions

The team mission (for whom you will be also operationally involved) is to carry out and manage  Core design analyses and transient Analyses of pressurized water reactor cores under normal and accidental conditions.

 

Thus, your main activities will be:

 

•  Analysis, with calculation codes, of the behaviour of the core during accidents, incidents or normal operation.

•  Writing safety report chapters and corresponding internal supporting notes of technical justifications.

•  Participation in technical meetings with other units and the project.

•  Writing response letters to customers or Safety Authorities questions.

•  Operational supervision of junior engineers in the execution of studies and the realization of offers in the technical field covered by the Core Design and Safety Analysis department.

 

Everyday:

 

•  Analysis, with calculation codes, of the behaviour of the core during accidents, incidents or normal operation.

 

•  Analysis of physical phenomena.

•  Writing study synthesis papers.

•  Search for solutions in his field of study.

•  Preparation of elements for internal or external technical meetings (clients, safety authorities)

•  Technical and operational supervision of junior engineers, monitoring the progress of actions

•  Reporting to management and project managers

 

Business Responsibilities:

 

• Respect of budgets and deadlines for the business entrusted.

Team Management
 

Internal connections to the sector:

 

•  In addition to frequent contact with the Core Design and Safety Analysis department’s operational teams, the position involves regular functional liaison with the following departments

« Nuclear Fuel”, “Reactor Design & Transients analysis & Emergency Procedure”, «  Computer Codes & Methods Development», the technical departments of the divisions «Instrumentation & Control», «Systems» and «Components» and the organizations in charge of «Projects».

You are

 

Master’s degree or university equivalent, general and/or technical training in nuclear reactor physics.

 

Confirmed design engineer with several years of experience and knowledge in reactor operation and/or safety with in-depth knowledge mainly in neutronic, and knowledge in thermal, thermohydraulic, Core Instrumentation & control.

You are interested by leading a technical team

 

You are rigorous, team player and listener with a strong taste for physics and technique.

You already have significant experience in technical management of a team of engineers and technicians.

 

Operational Fluent in French is mandatory and English level required
