VIE – Junior Buyer F/H

In the frame of its Security of Supply strategy the Fuel BU has started an ambitious program with the main objectives to:

Mapping all the products and suppliers (short-term)
Develop and implement Security of Supply plan and schedules, with cross functional teams(mid-term)
 

This program will focus on sole source and/or suppliers deemed critical with the research of backup (sourcing), management of RFQ, implementation of contracts and management of the qualification of the selected vendor.

The Fuel business unit in is looking to fill a Junior Buyer, VIE position, located in Richland WA, with the following main tasks:

Perform an analysis of the demand, existing and qualified source of supply already in place with the various internal prescribers
Define the level of priority and risk within the identified topics
Run a mapping of the existing suppliers within the other Framatome locations (France and Germany) and explore commonalities with the US.
In accordance with Framatome’s Key Purchasing Principles Support and manage requests for quotation, prepare contracts and place purchase orders
Report progress on a weekly basis

Strong interest in purchasing/supply chain function in an industrial market

Ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and management

Ability to change priorities quickly, confront issues directly

Team player and work well as part of a team

Project management capabilities

Knowledge of SAP and or any procurement tool is a plus

Fluent in English with good written and verbal communication skills

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Master’s degree with focus in purchasing and/or project management

Specialization: SCA - PURCHASING

Min. level of education required Master
