The members of the Framatome Reactors Owners Group (FROG) recently met in the Netherlands for the annual steering committee. The agenda focused on the sharing of operational experience as well as on future strategic and technical orientations.
Visit of the Borssele Nuclear Power Plant
FROG members met for three days in Middelburg, close to the Borssele power plant in the Netherlands. The annual steering committee meeting was an opportunity to share the main operational highlights of the last twelve months and also current projects. The lively exchanges were greatly appreciated by members, as they contribute to enriching their own operational experience as nuclear operators. Framatome’s Technical Leaders presented the findings of the technical working groups they led throughout the year with the FROG members.
« The current nuclear revival, including new build and long-term operation programs, is a major opportunity for our industry. It also brings new challenges and increased demands on how the FROG organization can provide technical support for the safe and sustainable operation of nuclear power plants. » declared Hans Te Lintelo, FROG vice-chairman, manager Technical support at EPZ, the meeting hosts.
Over the coming months, the working groups will continue their activities and members will be able to continue to exchange through the online forum and regular meetings.
