“Framatome relies on a specialized and skilled engineering workforce to develop and deploy products and solutions that help to ensure safe, reliable, low-carbon energy generation for our customers,” said Gary Mignogna, CEO of Framatome in North America. “I extend my thanks to all our engineers and congratulate Brandon and the others nominated for this year’s award.”

As a member of a high-performing team focused on practical and innovative improvements, Caldwell was instrumental in designing and implementing a critical solution to address buried piping as utilities begin to extend the operating life of their nuclear operating plants.

Mignona said Framatome is always seeking new innovations, and Brandon’s award-winning engineering solution alongside the ideas of the other nominated individuals come at a crucial moment as nuclear energy is increasingly seen as a critical energy source for the future.

“As we prepare for the significant opportunities created by the renewed commitment to nuclear energy as a reliable and sustainable source of low-carbon energy,” Mignogna said, “we are celebrating our existing team and looking for new people to join us in improving the output and modernization of the existing light water reactor fleet and supporting the development of the next generation of nuclear power.”
