To support its work with Dominion, Framatome will mobilize more than 1,100 of its Virginia-based employees over the next five years and will leverage its expanded portfolio of equipment and tooling for steam generator services. Additionally, the company will provide refuel services for the V.C. Summer Power Station and extend its existing contracts for refuel services at the Millstone, North Anna, and Surry power stations through 2024. Framatome will also provide MRP-227 examinations and 10-year in-service inspections at Surry and V.C. Summer through 2023.
Framatome’s expert teams provided steam generator services, refuel services, MRP-227 examinations, 10-year in-service inspections, maintenance services, component repair services, and component replacements at 39 U.S. nuclear plants in 2020. In 2021, Framatome’s U.S. teams will deploy to 40 nuclear plant outages.
Headquartered in Virginia, the Dominion Energy operating fleet includes two units at North Anna and two units at Surry in Virginia, two units at Millstone in Connecticut, and one unit at V.C. Summer in South Carolina. Collectively, these four power stations provide enough carbon-free electricity to power more than 3 million homes.
