Stress-relieving heat treatment on reactor coolant system components: progress report on works being undertaken by teams from Framatome

In the context of new industrial developments, Framatome detected non-compliance with temperature ranges during the application of certain local stress-relieving heat treatments (SRHT) carried out on some steam generators and pressurizers. One particular heat treatment process is concerned.

Framatome has mobilized its engineering teams to analyze the causes and implement corrective measures as quickly as possible.

Framatome informs the customers concerned.

Studies that are carried out confirm at this stage that the mechanical integrity of the components is not called into question.
