Visualization of Computational Fluid Dynamics -CFD - computing results in a dynamic virtual reality environment

In nuclear industry, almost all fluids dynamic phenomena are modelized with CFD computation software. However, the visualization is only given by pseudo-3D still pictures to gain a better understanding of the way how these flows behave. Framatome innovated in developing a virtual reality software allowing a dynamic immersive visualization of flows, giving possibilities to identify root causes of epiphenomena observed but not yet understood. It also allows to detect errors in the modelization, and results are even more exhaustive, accurate and usable. Thanks to our innovative proposition engineers, designers and developers will have access to an unprecedented stunning visualization of fluid flows.
