Framatome has designed a new control rod drive shaft latching/unlatching tool that simplifies tool operation and handling. Our new tool improves operational reliability by eliminating pneumatic cylinders and the need for compressed air or nitrogen. The tool can be quickly set-up and operated by a single technician with reduced communication requirements.
