Framatome's advanced PWR codes and methods support operators for fuel cycle economics improvement, through increased safety analyses margins. This innovative method provides higher thermal and overpressure margins, and enables extended 24 months cycles, power uprates and operational flexibility (flexible operation) while addressing current and pending regulatory criteria. Based on AREA (advanced rod ejection method addressing new NRC guidance) , ARITA (transient analysis methodology) and ARCADIA (neutronics and core thermal-hydraulic code), this new method provides unprecedented flexibility in cycle design and operation.
