Control Rods and Reactivity Management Solutions (including CRDM)

Controlling reactivity with control rods, boron injections systems, or all system allowing to control neutron flux, is the first fundamental safety function of a reactor. Operators are willing for systems with neither failure, nor misfunctioning. Framatome as a nuclear steam supply system and fuel designer, developed a full set of systems for reactivity management. We propose all I&C systems dedicated to reactivity control, control rod drive mechanisms, flux mapping systems, applicable to all reactor designs.
