Framatome establishes a permanent presence in Switzerland

Framatome announces the creation of Framatome AG, a new subsidiary specialized in local nuclear services for Swiss operators.

This center of competence and expertise is being developed to strengthen Framatome's local presence, close to Swiss operators. Our teams will provide support on lifetime extension projects for Swiss nuclear power plants with all the products and engineering and maintenance services that Framatome offers worldwide for all types of reactors.

"The development of this center of nuclear expertise, close to our customers, is a pledge of our desire to continue to play a prominent role in Switzerland".

The teams of Framatome experts based in Switzerland will support projects for the three nuclear power plants in operation. Framatome works in disciplines related to the design, commissioning, maintenance and modernization of equipment, operation, and instrumentation and control, as well as the design and supply of fuel assemblies. Framatome also provides its customers with support in accomplishing their digital transformation, offering solutions to secure and simplify the operation of highly critical systems.

A wholly-owned subsidiary of Framatome, Framatome AG is based in Baden in the Canton of Aargau.
