The safety of the passengers, the safe transport of dangerous goods and the maximum availability of the rail vehicles demand high requirements on the non-destructive testing (NDT), which has to be time-saving, precise and reliable. The Solid Axle Inspection System (VPS) enables time-saving examinations of solid wheel set axles. Due to state-of-the-art ultrasonic phased array technology with innovative UT equipment and software, for example SAFT (Synthetic Aperture Focusing Technique), the safety of freight and passenger carriers can be reliably evaluated.
