Cooling improvement of spent fuel pool: passive system and improved tubes

Framatome’s advanced Spent Fuel Pool cooling solutions enable the customer to realize tailor made and maximum efficiency pool heat removal. Depending on customer necessities a set of different pool cooling solutions are available. The heat exchangers can e.g. be placed inside existing fuel racks (ACT modules), designed to the pool walls or as floating device without pool liner impact. All solutions are modular, with high volume capacity and can be optimized to the individual heat removal requirements.
