Third party inspection and audits - EIRA

Framatome Central Inspection, EIRA, has an accreditation COFRAC (French Accreditation Committee) that allows it to act as an independent third party and be commissioned by customers in the same way as other organizations such as Bureau Veritas or Apave. Beyond matters of compliance, the inspector's mission is to assess not only conformity, but also practices and the qualification of resources assigned to inspections, and to maintain a questioning attitude. These are factors that underpin safety culture. We owe it to ourselves to be as attentive as possible to the needs of the customer, those of the safety authorities and their nuclear safety and quality requirements, and to take into account problems encountered in the past, in order to evolve, adapt methods and further raise skill levels.
