Offload and reload of fuel are two activities performed every outage on critical path.  If fuel assemblies are not moved as efficiently on the spent fuel side as on the reactor side, it can create a bottle neck.  One of the main contributors to the inefficiencies is due to poor water clarity from water dripping off the flanges of the legacy spent fuel handling tools.

Framatome’s new tool design improves on existing tooling by incorporating successful and unique features from our vast portfolio of long handle tooling.
