In order to support the Dutch operator EPZ during daily plant operation, within engineering and modification projects and during the outage period of Kerncentrale Borssele (KCB) NPP, Framatome GmbH is looking for a Resident Engineer (m/f/d).

The Resident Engineer (m/f/d) will be integrated to KCB’s on-site team and will closely work with KCB’s engineering, maintenance and long-term operation management teams. The Resident Engineer is the privileged interface between KCB and Framatome for all technical topics.

 

The Framatome Resident Engineer’s missions are:

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to support closely KCB for daily questions linked to plant operation and troubleshooting
  • Manage the execution and/or provide recommendations for specific engineering programs
  • Manage the technical processes in interface between KCB and Framatome back office (BO) for complex questions or studies performed in BO (understand KCB’s needs, promote Framatome capabilities, collect KCB’s feedback, etc.)
  • Support KCB for questions related to engineering and hardware projects in the area of but not limited to

system and component design

process and safety incl. technical specifications, operating procedures

chemistry & corrosion

lifetime & aging management

  • Actively support KCB during Outage planning and optimization and execution (on demand)
  • Support KCB in the area of maintenance, spare parts and obsolescence management by improving technical clarifications and understanding of KCB’s needs, by interfacing between KCB and Framatome
  • Advise KCB teams on the improvement of the plant performance through the Framatome lessons learnt on similar plants

 

In this role, the Resident Engineer should be responsible for:

  • Collection of all customer requests and being the entry point for any questions on a wide range of related engineering domains
  • Managing the technical scope of the different requests and the direct contact with Framatome’s organization relevant entities
  • Presenting to KCB teams the relevant Framatome technical solutions and applicable lessons learnt from other plants
  • Answering directly to some daily questions from KCB
  • Performing or contributing to complex field engineering assignments upon KCB request involving solutions development, execution, follow-up and coordination of all technical aspects
  • Managing with KCB the coordination and execution, and/or provide recommendations for specific engineering programs
  •  Supporting KCB in the root cause analysis for identified failures or events and developing of solution approaches or recommendation

 

Sie sind

The qualifications are as follows:

  • University degree (master/diploma)
  • Many years of professional experience
  • >10 years on-site experience, field operation
  • Customer and results oriented
  • Good communication and leadership
  • Autonomous and pro-active with a sense of rigor in the projects dealt with
  • Knowledge of Kraftwerk Union (KWU) reactor design, operation & maintenance
  • Specific FSAR and KTA/ASME codes knowledge is a plus
  • Experience in mechanical and process engineering activities
  • Familiar with typical NPP organization and applicable administrative processes
  • Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus)

 

Duration :
Minimum two years. To be mutually agreed upon between KCB, Framatome & selected candidate.
