Liaison Officer for Technology and Project F/H

FDJV is a Joint Venture of Dongfang Electric (China) and Framatome (France) supplying Chinese electric utilities with Reactor Coolant Pumps of Pressurized Water Reactors. It is established in Deyang (Sichuan, China).

Nearly 20 years after its creation, FDJV has successfully developed into a market leader. The company is currently developing its commercial activity and extending its industrial footprint (with new/breakthrough testing capabilities), as well as its technology portfolio through R&D and technology transfers.

In this context of intense development, FDJV is creating the position of Liaison Officer for Technology and Project, reporting to the General Manager.    

The role and duties of the position will consist of fostering the implementation and delivery of strategic and localization projects stemming from technology transfers (TT) and local R&D. Such projects aim at enhancing the product portfolio of the company and developing new production and testing capabilities. 

More specifically, the position will have a leadership role on the following aspects:

• Acting as a liaison between Framatome and FDJV on strategic, technology transfer and localization projects; streamlining and facilitating communication and teamwork between French and Chinese teams
• For such projects, reinforcing project management in all aspects: project planning, scoping, scheduling, costing, contracting (TT) and change management
• Monitoring the good achievement of projects in term of technical qualification, commissioning, and delivery of marketable products
• Expediting the execution of strategic, technology transfer and localization projects, and optimizing time-to-market of related products’ enhancements or new industrial capabilities
• Framing stakeholders communication on such projects, and safeguarding Intellectual Property aspects
• Supporting the build up of strategic inventories of parts and components

The position will be based in FDJV’s premises in Deyang, Sichuan. It will involve daily interactions with Framatome’s teams in Jeumont, France, as well as business trips to France on a regular basis.

An engineering background (mechanical preferred) and successful experience in the development of industrial technologies, ideally in the energy/power sector

– A good command of english language; Chinese language would be a great plus.
