V.I.E. – Junior Buyer

Richland is located in the Columbia River basin in southeastern Washington State, a few hours east of Seattle.

The Richland factory, part of the Nuclear Fuel Business Unit, has started an ambitious program in order to become the center of excellence for Advanced Fuel Manufacturing and new types of Fuel :

The Fuel business unit in is looking to fill an additional Junior Buyer, V.I.E. position to reinforce the US team (4 buyers and 1 V.I.E.). The V.I.E. will be responsible of fulfilling the following tasks:

• In accordance with Framatome’s Key Purchasing Principles, support and manage requests for quotation, negotiate, prepare contracts, and place purchase orders,
• Develop project purchasing strategies and reporting,
• Perform an analysis of the demand, existing and qualified source of supply already in place with the various internal prescribers,
• Develop and maintain internal tools (Purchasing SharePoint, templates…),
• Report progress on a weekly basis.

• Strong interest in purchasing/supply chain function in an industrial market,
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and management,
• Ability to interact and to negotiate with vendors,
• Ability to change priorities quickly, confront issues directly,
• Team player and work well as part of a team,
• Project management capabilities,
• Knowledge of SAP and or any procurement tool is a plus,
• Fluent in English with good written and verbal communication skills

 EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Master’s degree with focus in purchasing and/or project management
