With 25 nuclear power plants currently in operation, totaling 8.9 GW and representing less than 3% of its energy mix, India has announced an ambitious plan to expand its nuclear energy capacity to 100 GW by 2047. This initiative is a cornerstone of the nation’s long-term strategy for energy independence, and its commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2070.

India is encouraging both domestic and international private sector participation in both the existing nuclear power plants, and new build projects.

Framatome India started operations in 2025. However, the group has had a robust presence in India for over 25 years through local Framatome subsidiaries Jeumont Electric, and Corys, and also Arabelle Solutions (EDF Group).

We offer multi-disciplinary engineering capabilities in mechanical, process, electrical, and instrumentation & control domains. These competencies will support Framatome’s global projects, especially in LTO services, where demand is high.
