Your missions

EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) is a subsidiary of Edvance, which is a joint venture between EDF and Framatome, established in 2018 in charge of the design and the realisation of nuclear islands for new projects in France and worldwide.
In particular, EDF EPR Engineering UK is responsible for the design and construction of the nuclear island for Hinkley Point C (HPC) project and preparing the design replication and engineering activities for the Sizewell C (SZC) Project.
At HPC we are building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes.
For the SZC Project, work on the replication strategy and some early design studies are already underway and being delivered and managed from both France and UK.
For the HPC and SZC projects, we are looking to recruit for the role of Data Steward.

As a Data Steward embedded in a technical team (which is in charge of performing control of the manufacturing of mechanical parts and equipment for the nuclear projects by achieving in-shop inspections and issuing engineering technical positions), your role will be:

  • Support the users of the PLM tools by identifying the data necessary for their activities, ensuring the initialisation of the data, and acting as an interface between the users and the developers,
  • Define and perform the relevant checks and to take the appropriate measures to ensure the good use of the tools by the technical team, with a proper quality of data (and if possible, to propose mitigation or corrective actions),
  • Provide a team performance review based on the data related to the team activities.

Key duties will include:

Modelling and organising, in the various widgets of the PLM tool suite, the data required to carry out the activities of the technical team: on the basis of the actions required to carry out their technical tasks defined by the operational management, you must carry out the digital gestures necessary to:

  • Model the description of technical activities (parts list, surveillance templates, inspection plan)
  • Prepare actions (orders, technical positions)
  • Monitoring the quality of the data entered into the various tools by the members of the technical team (tool users) for the actions they carry out (factory inspection reports, technical engineering positions), making the team aware of the need for this level of quality required, and creating the appropriate conditions to ensure it.
  • Extracting and formatting data from the tools related to the team’s activities, in order to provide a reporting of the team’s performance.
  • Acting as a link between the technical team to which you report, and the various teams involved in the implementation of PLM tools: The tool customisation and development team: expressing the needs of the technical team, monitoring the implementation of new functionalities in the tools and ensuring that they meet the requirements.

  • Ability to manage the interactions with a multi-disciplinary team and capable of communicating appropriately with tools users (in a simple way) and to support them.
  • Capacity to cope in a technical environment with multiple and urgent demands

Desirable Qualifications, Experience and Skills

  • Knowledge of PowerBI
  • Knowledge of Dassault 3DX PLM tool
