Your missions

EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) is a subsidiary of Edvance, which is a joint venture between EDF and Framatome, established in 2018 in charge of the design and the realisation of nuclear islands for new projects in France and worldwide.

In particular, EDF EPR Engineering UK is responsible for the design and construction of the nuclear island for Hinkley Point C (HPC) project and preparing the design replication and engineering activities for the Sizewell C (SZC) Project.

At HPC we are building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes.

For the SZC Project, work on the replication strategy and some early design studies are already underway and being delivered and managed from both France and UK

As part of the Responsible Designer for the Hinkley Point C EPR project, EPR-E provides the design for the Nuclear Island (NI).

EPR-E is responsible for delivering the design for a number of Nuclear Island buildings, systems and equipment contracts for the Hinkley Point C EPR Project through an integrated team, support to HPC construction and commissioning activities, and preparing design replication feasibility and engineering activities for the Sizewell C Project. Therefore, a Technical Directorate is being created, responsible for the engineering disciplines and technical expertise required to deliver the different engineering projects through integrated teams in EPR-E.

A key output HPC Building Teams, is the EPR-E Master 3D Model. Under the Extended Enterprise project, the 3D Models produced by three Execution Designers (covering part of the Piping, HVAC & Electrical scopes), are being integrated into the EPR-E Master 3D Model. This will allow their design to be visualised alongside EPR-E scope and allow more co-activity issues to be resolved prior to installation on site.

For the HPC project, we are currently looking to recruit for the role of Project Manager – Extended Enterprise.

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with several of the below listed activities depending on the job/project requirements and the competences and experience:

  • Manage the deployment of the Piping Execution Designer, having a holistic view of

           – Execution designers tools

           – EDF IT servers’ readiness

           – Technical tests

           – Coactivity open points

           – Contractual aspects

           – Change Management

           – Reintegration by Bilfinger process and test

           – Deployment coordination

  • Ensure the transfer of HVAC Execution Designer scope is “reintegrated” into the EPR-E Master 3D Model
  • Continuous improvement of engineering sequence, once Execution Designers are working in the EPR-E Master 3D Model
  • Working with Model Managers, to ensure Execution Designers are complying with modelling rules, and working to the expected quality
  • Cost and budget management

You are
