Framatome's activities in France
In France, Framatome's activities cover Nuclear Steam Supply System design, supply, construction, maintenance and modernization, as well as fuel design and fabrication. The company has many locations throughout the territory, including in Hauts-de-France (Upper France), the Rhône Alps region, the Loire region, the Centre and Normandy.

Heavy primary loop components
In the Saône-et-Loire region, Creusot Forge carries out forging, heat treatment and machining prior to assembly of primary loop components such as reactor vessels, steam generators, pressurizers and primary pipework. These parts are then delivered to the assembly shops at Saint-Marcel. Today it is the first industrial facility in the world to manufacture EPR-type generation III+ reactor components.

Since 1970, the Jeumont plant (Hauts-de-France - Upper France region) has been producing mobile equipment for reactors and supplying premium products to customers all over the world.

Nuclear engineering
The French engineering teams are mainly based in Paris and Lyon. They devote their nuclear steam supply system expertise to strengthening the nuclear safety of existing installations and innovating for the betterment of tomorrow's reactors. They act as a bridge between basic research and industrial applications. In France, the Technical Center in France uses its own research and testing facilities and laboratories in Chalon and Le Creusot.

Nuclear maintenance
The teams at Installed Base France are there to conduct studies and substantiations, install, service, inspect, modify, repair or replace all the components belonging to the nuclear steam supply system auxiliary systems (NSSS) on the 58 reactors making up the EDF fleet and internationally. Their offer includes solutions and products to improve the availability and performance, or extend the service life of the nuclear power plants, and to enhance their safety.
The teams operate out of a number of locations: Lyon, Chalon-sur-Saône, Sully-sur-Loire, Jeumont, Maubeuge, Paris, Rungis and Cadarache.

Fabrication of fuel assemblies for reactors
The expertise of the Fuel Business Unit teams covers a full scope process from design through fabrication of fuel assemblies for PWR and BWR reactors and research reactors. The majority of its industrial sites are located in France with 6 plants covering the regions of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region (Jarrie, Ugine and Romans-sur-Isère), Loire-Atlantique (Paimboeuf) ) and Normandy (Rugles).

The teams at I&C France are mostly based in Paris, Lyon and Grenoble through the company Corys. They manufacture and deliver instrumentation and control (I&C) solutions for nuclear power plants worldwide.
